Solving the What to Do…
NC Route 64’s website will be clean and easy-to-use whether you’re on the go or at home looking to explore. Featuring trip guides, county information, and a comprehensive events calendar. You can easily find things to do every day of the week.
For the founder, Rhonda Kowald, this started as a hobby for just Chatham County, something she could provide other families while she searched for things to do with hers. As this became a heavily relied resource for the community as a whole. Friends and businesses who lived in Randolph and Wake County begged her to provide them with the same resource for their counties.
While enjoying a Route 44 Chery Limeade from Sonic, her partner joked that it’s interesting all three counties are along Hwy 64. Why not do the same thing for all the counties Hwy 64 goes through?
All twenty-four counties along NC Hwy 64: Cherokee, Clay, Macon, Jackson, Transylvania, Henderson, Rutherford, McDowell, Burke, Caldwell, Alexander, Iredell, Davie, Davidson, Randolph, Chatham, Wake, Franklin, Nash, Edgecombe, Martin, Washington, Tyrell, and Dare will have there own websites rolling out through 2018-2020. We’ve launched a Facebook page for each county until we launch each website and we encourage for county events to be shared on those pages.
Each county’s website will encompass more than just events for the community on the events calendar. You can find information on parks and playgrounds, local businesses in the business directory, and a summer camp guide along with other various guides.
We will be announcing each county anticipated launch dates as they get closer here on our main website and Facebook page.
I look forward to providing each county and NC Route 64 these valuable resources.
